This is a great place for bar drinks in Jalan Besar, at Tyrwhitt road. They have various alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks served to you by their friendly lady bartender from their full fledge island bar. For alcoholic drinks, spirits, soju, sake, cocktails and wine are all available. We tried the Blue Bulldog ($18+) cocktail and 5 different crystal globe mocktails above. The Blue Bulldog has an icy slushie that sends a cold gust down your throat when you slurp it with notes of tequila, blue curacao, beer and fresh lime zest. The global drinks are chilled, refreshing, fun and eye-catching.
BistrOne36 in Kallang, at Tyrwhitt is great for café hoppers. For non alcoholic drinks, there is a wide spectrum to choose from. Try the pure 100% Arabica coffee, premium tea, house drinks, juices, soda, kombucha and the fancy mocktails that is very instagrammable. For coffee, you can get it as Espresso ($3.90+), Americano/ Long Black ($4.90+ each) or Cappuccino/ Latte/Mocha ($5.90+ each). We also tried their highly recommended Cucumber Cooler ($8.90+) which did not disappoint with refreshing notes of fresh cucumber, mint and zesty citrus undertones.

If you are in need of a hearty All Day Brunch after a late night out, get this One36 American Breakfast ($22.90+). This comes with chicken cheese sausage, bacon, toasted sourdough bread, scrambled eggs or sunny side up eggs, sautee mushroom, tater tots and mix salad. They got me on the crunchy bacon with briny kicks and the juicy sausage. The sunny side eggs are well done too with runny yolks and tender whites. Tater tots are grated potatoes with a crunchy crust and gooey soft centre. Toasted sourdough bread is airy with a nice light crunch.
There are various handmade pizza from Mentaiko pizza, Parma Ham with Rocket Salad ($21.90+), Pesto Supreme Chicken Pizza, Smoked Salmon Pizza, Pepperoni pizza, Hawaiian Pizza to even Vegetarian pizza aka meatless pizza such as truffle mushroom pizza (contains onions) and pizza Margherita (contains cheese). These are all hand stretched pizza from dough and handmade pizzas with various savoury toppings. The Parma ham are cured thinly sliced pork leg with a intense briny kick that goes well with the freshly baked thin crust pizza base and peppery-sweet rocket salad.
Mussels Lemon Cream ($16.90+) served with sliced baguette is our editor’s choice for Starters. Fresh black mussels are in a hot creamy sauce made with white wine, cream, whole capers, minced garlic and fresh lemon juice. The mussels are clean without grit, well cooked with tender and custardy flesh. Dip the airy crisp baguette into the lemony sauce with peasant sharp tart kick from capers and the nuttiness of garlic. This dish is addictive if you love seafood in particularly shellfish.
Hokkaido Oysters are on a promotion at $4+ (U.P $8+) each with minimum of 6 pcs order. There is a waiting time of 30 minutes for preparation of these freshly shucked oysters on crushed ice served with fresh lemon wedges. If you love their big and juicy oysters, it is probably worth the wait and now with promotion makes it even sweeter.

Grilled Bacon Wrapped Scallop Skewers are fun to eat with a mozzarella cheese pull blanket on 6 nos of fat scallops. Kawa Ebi with tartar dip has a superb crunch like cracker that disintegrates in a few bites, leaving a sweet shrimp flavour. Sambal Sotong is cooked till tender, spicy and umami.
Buttermilk waffles with Gelato ($17.90+) is made fresh with a Waring waffle maker that is known to make great Belgian style waffles with deep pockets. The Gelato flavours we have chosen are vanilla bean and dark chocolate, rich, creamy and satisfying will be an understatement. The waffles is served hot, crunchy and fluffy with ice cold gelato, a drizzle of gooey chocolate syrup and a cherry on top.
