Get these lala claypot ($12) made with live lala and lots of hua diao jiu! Do not be deceive by the clear soup, it is packed full of the wine umaminess and the juice of the live clams. There are also fragrances of the fried garlic oil with the spicy sweet shredded ginger flavours. Clams are plum and bursting with juices. We saw the live clams squirting water from the tray when the chef scoops them up for cooking.
They also have some good variety of braised sides to go with the pen cai and bkt. The braised dishes are braised big intestines ($8), sweet intestines, pig skin, tau pok, braised egg and peanuts. The braised big intestines are melty and well marinated. If you love offals, this is one of the must try together with the sweet intestines.
They also have Sesame oil chicken ($12) that is a great dish to go with their steamed rice. The dark gooey sauce is rich and flavourful with some super tender springy chicken. If you love it with wine, try their ginger wine chicken($12) made with lots of hua diao jiu and shredded ginger. Both of these are very nourishing dishes which are found in many confinement menu for new mothers.
