The Hideout by SGFoodCourt is serving up a hawker fest that comprises of 6 stall owners all under 1 roof at Changi Village. Among them are some young “hawkerpreneurs” as young as 21 years old and experienced chef-owner who started as young as 14 years old with his family business.
At this The Hideout by SGFoodCourt’s popular hawker fest, you can order a massive spread of Singapore favourite food and unique food from other parts of the world, from the comfort of your table with their inhouse QR code menu on each table. Lets check out their some of The Hideout halal food options. Prata Lahhh! is a Halal certified prate shop serving Authentic Indian Muslim Food with Singapore’s First DIY Prata. This DIY prata has 17 types of ingredients that you can mix and match to create your desired giant prata. Their kosong prata is also one of the best prata in Singapore as I was told and it is really crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. These are served smashed lightly with flaky layers like a rose with a curry of your choice too. Must try.
They also have the popular Lamb Shank Claypot Rice ($20) and the super crisp Tissue Prata with Chocolate ($3.50) to share with your love ones.
The owner- chef has helped out with his family business since he was 14 years old. His family business is the well known Casuarina Curry known for super crispy prata. If you are wondering why their prata are so good, here’s why. We were told that the dough used in Prata Lahhh! has gone through many R & D to achieve the crispy prata texture and use very little oil. Most importantly, these prate are made fresh for each order, so you can be sure to get a crispy one every time. A crispy prata with thick fish curry is my dream and you get them here!
There are also non-halal options at The Hideout the SgFoodCourt. Meatkata Thai Hotpot BBQ is a non-halal Thai style mookata managed by a group of energetic young hawkerprenuers. They have both Buffet and ala carte mookata options. Their mookata buffet starts from $29.80 consisting of various vegetables, noodles, meats and surimi excluding seafood and beef.
For ala carte mookata, you can order premium meats, seafood, special such as oysters, pork jowl, and even wagyu beef. This mookata also lets you enjoy a dual soup option with 3 soup choices such as mala, tomato and tom yum soup base. When you are there be sure to order Charcoal BBQ Satay with various meat such as chicken, mutton, beef and even tripe. Check out their chunky peanut sauce for the satay, it is sweet, spicy and shiok.
If you love seafood, their bbq tiger prawn is a must try, with the sizzing hot bbq sambal sotong and sambal stingray on banana leaf. Big group can order their Mega feast combo $105 with 50 sticks of satay, 5 ketupat and 25 delicious tiger prawns. It is sedap and bagus!
