LAUT buffet changi beach clubLAUT Buffet at Changi Beach Club is also a place for seafood surprises with Special Catch of the Day. During our previous visit to LAUT, it was Dungeness crab with meaty claws and full of orangey buttery roe. During this visit, we had giant squid with squid roe and topped with garlic bbq sauce for our grills. Do check with them what is the Special Catch of the Day if you are heading over for this.

LAUT bbq buffet SingaporeLAUT BBQ Buffet in Singapore lets you dine by a charming sea view where you can also catch the sunset. This is one of the few rare beach front resort restaurant in Singapore with a kelong dining in the sea located in a waterfront hotel, Changi Beach Club Resort. This is the private beach with cool sand where you can enjoy a stroll after your meal or chill on the beach lounge chairs to unwind.

LAUT-hotel-style-buffetLAUT Smoke Shabu Grill also has a hotel style buffet line with hot food kept warm with heat lamps. You can use the fork and carving knife to carve out the thickness of roast delights and enjoy to your hearts delights. For a tender cut, our advice is to cut against the grain and watch the meat juice oozes out as you carve into their roasted beef brisket!

carvingThere are various roasts at the Gourmet Carving Bar such as cumin masala grilled lamb in traditional spice rub, beef brisket in red wine jus, German pork knuckle with mustard & sauerkraut and Japanese Chashu in sweet soy mirin glaze.

The selection of buffet line cooked food consist of various style which caters to various diners with different dietary habits, from stir fry dishes, steamed dishes to deep fried dishes and savoury stew dishes. There are also spicy and non spicy options for everyone to enjoy.

They also have various cooked food cuisines such as chilli crab in chilli tomato sauce, Hong Kong style steamed fish in superior soy sauce, oyster meat stew in Chinese Garlic sauce, squid roll in Korean BBQ sauce, Malaysian style lady finger in crispy garlic soy sauce and Japanese garlic fried rice.

finger foodThey even have some crunchy finger food to keep your kiddos happy while waiting for the grills to be ready. Check out their assorted crunchy bites such as masala potato waffle, mozzarella stick, chicken karaage and seaweed chicken rolls. The mozzarella stick are fun to eat and you can have pit against one another to see who can do the longest cheese pull.

seafood buffetOne of the highlight in this restaurant, is the pick your own seafood buffet from the large seafood on ice display. Get a platter of your desired seafood and BBQ & hotpot them all on your table top stove.

oysterThere are a good and wide variety of seafood, you can grill them with the condiments provided to create your own seafood delights. The condiment bar is well stocked with sauces to make your own grilled slipper lobster, BBQ tiger prawn with garlic butter, salt & pepper, salmon steak, baby cuttlefish, hotate scallop, white fish steak with black pepper and octopus with thai green chilli. If you are not good with seasoning your seafood, you can also try their seasoned seafood such as oysters with savoury garlic sauce, half-shell scallop with Chinese bbq sauce, shishamo in spicy spice rub, cuttlefish with curry marinade and crunchy prawn with tandoori seasoning.

For Crab lovers, rejoice you can now enjoy various types of crabs such as mud crabs, flower crabs as well as hot food buffet line’s chilli crab.

LAUT premium seafoodLAUT. SMOKE • SHABU • GRILL buffet price starts from $36.90++ (weekdays mon-thu) and  $42.90++ (weekends fri-sun), excluding PH & Eve. We were told that the seafood and meat variety will be same throughout for weekdays and weekends buffet. You can get some premium seafood such as abalone, salmon sashimi and live oysters to enjoy while you are there. The abalone needs to be cleaned to remove the liver and stuff before you grill, the service crew will be happy to help.

If you head over to their dessert bar, you can get some of the mozzarella cheese and melty Nacho cheese for your barbeque seafood needs. Enjoy these huge giant river prawns in a combo of grilled mozzarella cheese & Nacho cheese and watch the stringy cheese pull.

oystersRemember to also check out their live oysters and salmon sashimi. These are best enjoyed with some fresh lemon juices, wasabi and soy sauce. You can also get condiments from their bar to create your own live oysters slurps with their own briny juices.

meat buffetBesides a wide variety of seafood, they also have wide spread of meats like more than 20 meats in various cuts and marinades such as large cut steaks, thicker cuts of fatter meats, seasoned Korean style meats in sauces and thin cuts of rolled shabu shabu meats. There are various marinated meats (chicken, pork, beef, lamb), you can pick and choose a small portion to try which meat marinade you prefer before getting bigger portions. As with all buffets, wastage will be charged accordingly. You can diy your own pork collar and pork jowl with pepper, BBQ dry rub and pork belly with fresh garlic soy sauce.

premium-meat-korean-buffetHead over to premium meats where you can enjoy various premium cuts such as galbi gui pictured above like in a Korean buffet. They also have various cuts & marinades such as thick cut pork belly and pork jowl. Butter the bbq stove with herb butter, grill your perfect galbi gui till tender and delightfully char. They also have seasoned cumin beef steak, assorted marinated meats (beef, chicken, lamb & pork), marinated beef cube, black pepper wagyu cubes and more.

If you are someone who prefer saucy seafood food, you can diy shellfish seafood bowls with Thai chilli, sambal & butter using their foil bowls at the cheese & dessert bar. Seafood with sauce hits differently as the sauces get more fully infused into the seafood, more savoury and juicy too.

seafood hotpotYou can also create your own seafood hotpot with various soup such as collagen soup, tomato or mala soup. Add greens & surimi for some crunch and richer umami flavour. After which you can shabu meats in hotpot to soak up all the goodness.

They also have a dessert bar with bubur cha cha – sweet potato, sago, yam in coconut milk- for you to cool down after enjoying all the hot grills. Soya beancurd, grass jelly and fruits of the day for a refreshing crunch. Enjoy free flow icy dispenser drinks juice cordial, soda and tea. For those who love beers, they also have ala carte soju, Tiger and others available to pair with the bbq seafood and meat.
