Here’s all the seafood we had at the dinner buffet. There are black mussels, tiger prawns, crawfish, half shelled scallops, mud crabs, curry prawns, glass noodle scallops, saucy black mussels, rocket squid, squid rolls, squid rings, dory fish, salmon head, salmon collars, handmade prawn paste, fatty cuts of marinated salmon bones, fish stomach and more.
With a well stocked condiments bar, you can really enjoy the seafood in your own creative way with their sauces and paring ingredients. We grilled these large salmon head & collar in fresh lime with caramelised soy sauce on the hot plates. The tender and buttery flesh with the citrus tang of the lime is delightful. You can also cook the salmon fish head in mala hotpot or their pork soup base like fish head soup for a lighter bite.
Next get your hands on these mud crabs and cook your own mud crab in spicy chilli crab sauce. There are various chilli sauces available in the condiments counter, sweet and spicy, smoky spicy chilli sauce and more. Just get a sample of each and see which goes well with your taste palate to create this chilli crab on grills.
For crawfish lovers, there’s no better way to eat these tiny flavour bombs then in mala chilli sauce or in garlic sauce like we did. Also grab the tiger prawns and grill them with melted cheese corn toppings for more sinful bites of these sweet prawns.
Check out these premium meats for shabu shabu and thicker cuts for your grills. There are Premium shabu shabu beef, American beef for grills, Korean style thick cut pork belly, assortment of marinated meats and even curry pork cutlet.
At La Jiang Shan Hotpot BBQ, they are big on their marinated meats. The marinated meats are also paired with ingredients such as sweet white onions, mushrooms, celery in additional to black pepper, kimchi and oyster sauce and more marinade. If you are not creative with your marinated meats, they got you sorted out with their marinated meats choices and pairings. Meat are very flavourful and cook quickly as there are all cut to bite size morsels.
If you think shabu meats are only meant for hotpotting, you should try this creative way of grilling these beef shabu shabu meats with a lava egg wash. Crispy meat edges with the silky egg wash beef shabu shabu meats is the new way to enjoy it. DIY your own teppan rose pork with lava egg yolk dip too if you like.
There are 12 soup bases you can choose from such as spicy beef butter soup, spicy mala hotpot, Japanese style sukiyaki, homemade tomato soup, pig trotter soup, Fresh mushroom soup, Thai style Tom Yam soup, herbal chicken soup, sour and spicy soup, sweet corn chicken soup, three fresh soup with shrimp and the latest addition rich laksa soup. Besides the spicy mala soup, we also enjoy their new Laksa and corn chicken soup base. Top up $2.80++ for a single soup base and $4.80++ to enjoy a dual soup base.
