You know what is so appaulling? It is the fact that Jonathan is like so much better than Sly and yet right now, he still does not have a recording contract while Sly got a recording contract right after Idol! I am really surprised that Hype records did not offer Jonathan a recording contract!

i agree with Daryl – “Music is less emotive” these days…
RnB/Rap/HipHop is essentially the new pop…
i can’t admit that i’m a very big fan of such genres- but i have to say that it’s due time that performers from SI start connecting to their songs; and for the SINGAPORE VIEWERSHIP to wake up their ideas and vote PROPERLY…
Australian Idol is currently on now and i’m sad to say this- but the talent on show is BREATHTAKING to say the very least…

Hi, just checking . did anyone tape the encore telecast of Singapore Idol Results’ Show? The last part actually showed Hady’s face and expression when he won, unlike the Live telecast when the cameraman focussed on Jonathan. If anyone has that, would appreciate if you could post it for fans to see.

Well, I think you can’t compare it like that, because the market is very different. American market is known as a difficult one, and even European musicians often find market in Asia because it’s “easier”. And for Asian talent to make a breakthrough out there, yes, it’ll be difficult. But I heard Anggun (I heard she’s from Indonesia?) make a succesful career in europe.. She must be really good..
