Finally Joakim is out of the competition. Its a pity. We were having so much fun making him public’s enemy number one. Now that fun is gone. It was a Paul Twohill vs Joakim showdown.

i know that this might sound totally dry and corny…
but perhaps.. just PERHAPS…
the judges had realized something… something that they should have realized a looooonnng time ago…
you see…
for weeks and weeks they were dissing and putting down Joakim… saying that “his fans should give him a dignified exit, and that silence was better.. whatever…”
and his fans voted and voted and voted and voted to keep him in..
all of a sudden…
from nowhere…
even though in my ears, he sounded like crap…
from nowhere…
the judges praised him!
hahahahaha…
REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY!
and it worked!
the fans thought he was going to be safe..
and voila..
thank goodness..
HE’S OUT!

Peace at last for poor Joakim boy, at least no more slammings etc from anybody and anywhere now. Your fans really allowed you a dignified exit and i must say you were actually a winner already to exit with that cool broad smile. Joakim, as Ken put it, you had all the drive but no substance at this moment and being young, you had ample of chance and time to get yourself more focused and improved. So dont give up.

Hady will be the champion, 1st runner up is Jonathan followed by Jasmine and then Paul. Of course if Mathilda wasnt voted out, she should be the next Idol. Whatever, I wish you all the best.

Now that Joakim’s gone, I’d expect the next person out to be Jasmine.
I really find her an irritating “act-cute” ah lian.
She can sing?! Gosh. I close my eyes and hear her sing, and I couldn’t tolerate it. The voice is very unnatural. Sounded fake. She can go very low at one point and suddenly back to her normal cute-cute voice in a song.:D

Final 3 : Jonathan and Hady and Paul (who’s getting better vocally but need that marbles out of his mouth)
But all in all, really applaud Joakim for braving all those criticisms, which should be directed to the judges actually. If they didnt put him through to Top 28 when they knew he cant sing, he won’t even be here to receive the slammings. Think of how many real talents gone to waste because of them.

What a pity…Joakim got out…i mean i knew he was bad at singing, not singapore idol material but i mean you got to say…he was improving a lot on wednesday…he actually sounded quite good…too bad singapore didnt give him a chance to improve more…i think that paul twohill would probably get out next week…

well he did improve, but still the weakest among the five.
i thought it was a surpise tat he was out. cos he has been the black horse for so many weeks. and suddenly get voted out. however cos of him singapore idol lose a lot of talents like rahimah and mathilda especially. so hes a black sheep to me, all that he (his fans, to make it right)have done. his fanns voted for him,its not about really a singing competition, but other factors oso included, joakim fans may say, but his overall performance is bad compared those that have a weaker image.
it is indeed a very unfortunate event. if he was ousted earlier, maybe he won’t become a black sheep. well i think his performance actually resembles the contestants in piano show, who did not make it, and is even weaker than thos in wildcard.maybe you should stuff his performance(not geek in pink)in the piano show and see how alike it is.

lts put it this way,sing beauty.you got your wish dont you?you wish joakim to be voted off and yes he did.all the judges been dissing him,teasing him etc.florence got her wish,joakim left in a dignfied exit.dick lee was smiling all the way.but then again,why would the judges allowed him to be in the singing competition in the first place?
they can always reject him during the audition.but no they accepted him.there is always the next round before the top 28.they can always dismiss him then.but no they did not.after that welcome piano show,where fans are starting their sms.
i think they have no right to keep dissing joakim about his singing etc.after all they were the one who accepted him in the first place.i think they purposely accepted him because he got the look,and as we all know,girls,tai-tai,tai-tai’s daughter etc willing to do anything to keep their idol on.and that will be equivalent to more money pumping to them.

regarding joakim, i think he improved a lot! yes he actually sounded quite good on wed. but this improvement is far too late, and also, is definitely not enough to catch up with the others. i really think he should have been eliminated before this performance, to save him all this dissing and scrutiny. what to say?
it isnt really his fault. pity him. i dont think he really meant to come this far, but it’s all those despo young female voters that are to blame. so please stop putting joakim down now that you’ve got your wish.
personally, i think that a lot of the better singers like mathilda, jay and gayle really shouldnt have been out this fast. but i guess this is reality.

come on guys, dont poke further fun on that poor Joakim. He’s really such a fine boy and week after week he kept all of you entertained with the so-called bad singing and monkey acts of his but now when he’s really gone, I believed all of us missed him. He really tolerated all those nonsense/critizicism or whatever hurled at him for so many weeks and only when he actually improved last wednesday did he dare challenge those haters to “Bring it” possibly his patience had already reached nose level then and for a young boy, what do you expect. I think this is understandable and forgiveable. See, the judges also felt bad and sorry for him.
As for now Joakim, you deserve some peace and have a good break. Start afresh after having enough rest, gather all the experiences from SI and work from there. All the best to you for a bright future in the entertainment industry.

joakim obviously do not deserve to come here. NO OFFENCE, his fans brought him here and i thought it was a waste of money, but i wanna make a list of those eliminated:
Norman: since he can handle “these are the days”, his singing should not be too bad, he did the worst of the 12 performances,but he has greater potential than joakim.
Gayle : she did rather ok, jus a middle-bottom performance out of the 11, so she sings good, but was eliminated due to popularity losing. she should oso b given a chance actually. joakim and paul is the bottom performances by the judge comment.
emily, she did a performance not accepting , so her elimination is oso predicted, as she oso dun have very good vocals.
jay, he has good vocal but unsastifying song choice, but joakim and paul did worse in the top 9 show.
rahimah, she has too much emotion that she lose her voice, but still one of the top singers in singapore idol, so it is a standard losing. her fans did not vote 2.
mathilda, easily the top 3 performances that night, but was eliminated, bottom is undoubtingly joakim.
nurul, rather tired and not enough energy, but joakim is still the worse performance.
FInally joakim is out. but he is top 5 singer in singaporereans. easily the worst singer among top 12. he get into top 28 is through luck.
he get into top 12 through distracting audience. and get to top 5 through his fans who vote blindly.
joakim is a nice boy, but obviously no potential in singing, after trying so hard, and although this is a critism from me, i wan to say that
