Joakim is still alive in singapore idol

Rahimah and Paul twohill was the bottom two and Rahimah was voted out of singapore idol. The pathetic thing is that the camera man keep shooting Joakim’s face. They want the world to see his ‘guilty’ face.

Singporeans never use their brains to vote or rather doesnt understand what singapore idol is all about. They thought it was voting for cuties ,sweeties and monkeys! It is evident now that Malthida’s vocal is unmatched and the only reason she may land up second to Hady in the final is probably her image/ dressing etc which singaporeans feel so important. On the other hand, Hady has a better image and a good voice compare to the rest except for malthida. Rahimah shouldnt be out that soon and i dont understand why Nurul, Jasmine and Joakim werent voted out in the last 2 rounds instead.

Arghhh!! I can’t stand it, let Joakim & Jasmine be in the finale for all I care as the one girl who related so well to the songs is already out of the competition. She was just being herself to the core, she was raw & it seems that S’poreans would rather vote for smiley monkey & the prom queen while ignoring the positives that a rough diamond like Ima can bring to the indecisive youngsters of S’pore. Inspite of her fans’ pleas to move away from the angsty & frowning approach, she still performed the way she did, which just goes to show how young & raw she is to the entertainment industry. She stayed true to herself right up to the end & I’m just glad that now I can get on with my life by not looking out for the SI show on TV as the life of the show has just been ripped out. Peace No War!

It is utterly ridiculous!! Where is the standard?? If the good ones are being kicked out of the competition, what’s the point in having singapore idol then? Jasmine and Joakim, my goodness, are just cutesy, and that’s all there is to them. Ya call that singing?? It’s a shame and disgrace to see some of the contestants perform. Is that all singapore has to offer?

    greetings all~
i’m a avid viewer of the show from Perth (cheers SingaporeBeauty.com’s webmaster) and i just want to comment on how i reckon that the concept of Singapore Idol has transgressed from its humble begginings as a Singing competition to a virtual POULARITY contest.
with no due disrespect for fellow fans and followers alike, i think that the voters have honestly got to get their tinted glasses off and realize what the show is truly about, a singing competition~ cutesy fartsy antics should not be tolerated~ as such, when it comes down to the boil, it really is your MONEY at stake, but please… don’t shame or tarnish the singaporean voice…

Tonight Joekim should be receiving his death sentence for repeating the rendition of the school concert last night as what Flo commented on him last week. If he stays, then possibly the votes must be from some primary school kids!

I thought Nurul was so silly to pick that song Over The RAinbow as it only gave the audience all the chance to compare how lousy she was with American Idol runner-up Katherine Mcphee. Nurul was just way way way behind. Malu lah!

Jasmine has improved the last 2 performances and i think she sings country songs better. Ya you are sweet and cute so what? this is a singing competition, singaporeans pls use your brain lah to vote wisely!

After Joekim’s idol journey ends tonight, the next few ones to go should be Nurul, Paul,Jasmine and then Jonathan.

Mathilda has got a superb vocal. However, this is not just a singing competition, it’s more about voting instead. :/

And so, Joakim will definitely get more votes simply because he’s cute.

Forgot to advise Gurmit. Change your lines. Instead of saying”The lines are opened and if you want your favorites (pshh, favourites to the less smart singaporeans = any person they fancy esp. those cute, sweet and monkeyish!) to be in the competition the next round, pls vote for them” Gurmit should actually say, ” Hey kiddies, kiddies, dont simply waste your daddy and mummy’s money, remember uncle gurmit and those 2 aunties and uncles seated there (judges) are here to pick a good singer and not someone to embarrass singapore. We want somebody like auntie Kit who was here on National Day to sing for us? U know her, if yes, we want to get someone like her to sing in our next Singapore Idol show (hopefully the american creator wil still allow us to host the show again after all our blunders). Understand? If you dont, get your daddy and mummy or some smart adults to help you. Dont play, play cos uncle gurmit and the 4 over there maybe out of job soon if you keep voting nonsense and we”l have to get LOST just like Mathilda!

well the main issue here that we are all dealing with a a singapore idol which have the vocal quality and personality. Whats the point in voting for looks and not the quality in every competitors? we must all have an open mind what this idol can do for the society ……what he or she can afford to contribute to everyone…….it all comes in a package and all i can say every competitors have their flaws and that one special thing in them as we can see……..but eventually theres only a winner at the end of the day……how bad or good any of their performance can be,the least they put in their effort to work their way through this competition and we will see at then end of day who earn the title ……….all the best to you hady,paul.jasmine,jonathan.joakim and nurul u have put up the best performance in every competition but u have that talent in you. never give up and hopefull more opportunities for ya

Hmm.. As much as I totally agree that every good singer is being constantly showed the exit, I wonder…If mathilda can’t get enough votes now itself, would she be able to make it if she releases an album? If people (whoever these people are, that’s a very good question) can spend money on Joakim and Jasmine now, it means that they would most probably be willing to spend money on buying their album. Since, Mathilda and gang (meaning decent singers) don’t seem to have the ability to draw people to spend cash on them, they might as well not win the title, because eventually who’s gonna buy their CDs? Alas, this is Singapore. A place where talents are not recgonised.
