Da Vinci Code – To watch or not to watch

Oh yes, the show that is making the headline is about to open in the cinemas this Thursday! The christians hate this movie because they believe the movie is giving fake information about christainity.
For the first time, the National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) requested the Media Development Authority (MDA) to ban the movie last month. MDA felt that such movie should be seen as a fiction and hence giving a rating of NC16.
Scare what? Scare the movie will brainwash people and exisiting christians? If your faith is strong, no one can change your mind unless you are weak.
The NCCS is even organising 2 free public talks to speak about The Da Vinci Code. Thanks for doing so because they will only make more free publicity for the movie and more people will watch it. Believe me, much much more christian will watch it out of curiousity. Anyway, the story is nothing if you compared it to southpark.

Religion, worship, the acknowledgement down through the ages and civilizations that indeed there is something out there Greater than us! We want to live forever. We know that’s impossible. We cope with mortality via belief in an afterlife. The great Egyptian, Greek and Roman gods of Ancient times, the Great Spirit of North America, the hindu gods, God, Allah. Could they all be different names for the same entity? The millenia of prayer, passion, customs and rituals humanity has directed toward and applied to the deity (deities) may have reached the same single final destination.

Hiya,
I thought you might be interested to know this:
This morning, on my way to work, I got into Orchard MRT. Now, the station has lots of ads for the movie “Da Vinci Code”, including a huge poster which is glued to the floor.
Now on my way to the escalator down to the trains, I noticed something that, at first, seemed to be something a little different. It was a small cordoned-off area… the types they use in banks or clubs to keep people off a certain area.
I couldn’t see a leak or a hole in the ground which would explain why the area was off-limits… until I realised what was actually on the ground… the “Da Vinci Code” movie poster.
In the background is the painting of “The Last Supper”. The cordoned-off area was Jesus’ face.
