Singapore Foreman Send his Worker to Death
A 130-metre crane collapsed yesterday and its 185 tonne load smashed and killed 3 workers instantly. It happened at SembCorp Marine’s PPL Pandan Road shipyard. A bangladeshi fractured his arm and two others were lucky as they suffered only minor injuries.
Singaporean Low Chwee Seng, 55, a general sub-contractor, was one of the victim killed in action. He was assign by his foreman to check out the area as the foreman descible him as “the most experienced” worker. When the foreman turned up at the dead man’s house. He was confronted and the Low family blamed him for Mr Low Chwee Seng’s death.
