Singapore Beaches kill 4 people Monthly

Our Trade and Industry Minister, Lim Hng Kiang has said that Singapore Beaches are drowning 40-50 singaporeans every year. He was more concern with Sentosa beaches than any other beaches. Why? Sentosa is one of singapore’s main attraction and foreigners love the beaches.

Last year we had 5 drowning cases in Sentosa and just last month there was one. What makes these beaches dangerous is the fact that they are not enclosed lagoons. They are part of the open sea and there is no guarantee for safety. Most drowners are teenagers who had less responsibility with their lives. Some drowners are even caught drinking before they swim in the sea.

People reported to have seen ‘ghostly’ figures flowing in the seas of Sentosa beaches at night. Sounds scary. If the number of deaths increase in the coming years, we can proclaim the place as Beaches of Death.
